Background: I am a student at FSU on a Pre-Med track, earning my Interdisciplinary Science B.S. degree with a concentration of Community Patient Care. At age 13, I started becoming known as the neighborhood babysitter. I would take care of children ranging from 3 years old - 11 years old. One of the children I babysat was diagnosed with severe autism. As I got older, being a high school student taking all AICE classes, Honors classes, and AP classes, as well as being the captain of the Girl's Lacrosse Team, the families I babysat were hiring me to become tutors for their children during the school year. I regularly tutored a few fourth graders in reading and math. Entering into Florida State and going back home on some breaks, the director of a preschool reached out to me with a position as a daycare teacher. I worked primarily with the ages of 3 months old - 3 years old. Becoming a daycare teacher allowed me to build the patience and love I have for children. To this day, whenever I am home I always help out at the preschool and give my kids the biggest hugs!
I have received training on how to support children and teens with ASD from the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).

Future plans: I plan to become a pediatrician, have multiple children of my own, and live the life I have always dreamed of.
When she’s not babysitting: I love to read, work out, socialize with friends, take part in research studies on Alzheimer's, and go to the beach!
