Background: I began as a mother’s helper at twelve years old. I would play with a five year old girl while the mother caught up on house chores. I fell in love with babysitting because I get to make a positive difference in people's lives. I have experience with children as young as three months old, and as old as ten years old. I babysat consistently for a family for two years before attending FSU. I forged a strong connection with the family and their two boys, ages three and one year old. I was even able to act as a travel nanny for them on their family vacation. I have worked with many children throughout my babysitting career. I am most proud that I incorporate interactive play while prioritizing safety. I have taken care of children who have special needs before. I babysat consistently for a partially nonverbal two year old girl with autism. I am a Hebrew School teacher for children in the age groups of kindergarten to 6th grade.
On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 3 months old
Future plans: I am currently a pre nursing student at FSU, and I am aiming to be accepted to the College of Nursing for Fall 2025. After becoming a certified RN, I plan to work in the pediatric unit at a hospital before returning to school. My main academic goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics.
When she's not babysitting: When I'm not babysitting, I am an intern for the social programming team of the Hillel of Tallahassee. I ensure that our engaging events are planned and run smoothly. This is my third semester of this specific internship, and I plan to stay in this role for next semester as well. Some of my hobbies that I enjoy the most are reading in a book club and making clay pottery.
