Birthday: November 27th

Hometown: Boca Raton, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Wild Strawberry

Background: I began as a mother’s helper at twelve years old. I would play with a five year old girl while the mother caught up on house chores. I fell in love with babysitting because I get to make a positive difference in people's lives. I have experience with children as young as three months old, and as old as ten years old. I babysat consistently for a family for two years before attending FSU. I forged a strong connection with the family and their two boys, ages three and one year old. I was even able to act as a travel nanny for them on their family vacation. I have worked with many children throughout my babysitting career. I am most proud that I incorporate interactive play while prioritizing safety. I have taken care of children who have special needs before. I babysat consistently for a partially nonverbal two year old girl with autism. I am a Hebrew School teacher for children in the age groups of kindergarten to 6th grade.

On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 3 months old

Future plans: I am currently a pre nursing student at FSU, and I am aiming to be accepted to the College of Nursing for Fall 2025. After becoming a certified RN, I plan to work in the pediatric unit at a hospital before returning to school. My main academic goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatrics.

When she's not babysitting: When I'm not babysitting, I am an intern for the social programming team of the Hillel of Tallahassee. I ensure that our engaging events are planned and run smoothly. This is my third semester of this specific internship, and I plan to stay in this role for next semester as well. Some of my hobbies that I enjoy the most are reading in a book club and making clay pottery.

Miriam came on vacation with us, helped early in the morning, all day long with two kids. She’s done this since my youngest was 3 months old. Miriam is a smart, helpful babysitter. She’s good with kids and follows directions well. We miss her being our neighbor. She really did great. Was a huge help. Always took directions well and improved anything we asked for. She’s a great person and a wonderful sitter. You would be lucky to have her. She feels like family and is always uplifting to be around.

Miriam babysat for my daughter, who has autism. She would heat up meals for my daughter, get her ready for bed, and engage with her. Miriam is a very responsible adult. She loves working with children. She is very kind and loving. She follows directions as well. She’s very organized and clean. My daughter loved playing with her and was always excited to see her. Since my daughter has autism, she was able to communicate with her and understand her verbally and nonverbally. I would definitely recommend Miriam. She is a bright and wonderful person.
