Background: I am a student at Florida State majoring in Accounting. I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember and have loved getting to connect with children and their families throughout the years. Throughout high school, I was very involved in club soccer, my local church, and the work that I do at Camp Allen as a counselor during my summers. Growing up, my sister had special needs making caretaking something that has shaped my childhood and built me into the leader and watchful advocate I am today. Being very passionate about the work I do at my summer camp, I want to use my degree in Accounting to work in Non-Profits and advocate for change for people with disabilities in an impactful way. My favorite part about babysitting is the genuine connections I am able to make not only with the child but also with their family. I want to ultimately be the babysitter I always dreamed of having!!
I have received training on how to support children and teens with ASD from the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).
On my own, I’ve cared for children as young as: 14 months old
Future plans: I want to work as a Non-Profit Accountant and my dream is to start my own Non-Profit for adults with disabilities to be successful and thriving in our society today.
When I'm not babysitting: I love to run, read, go to the beach, get involved in my sorority and hang out with friends!
