Ms. Emily B. (Ft. Lauderdale)
/I’m offering video chats! Many students will be reading a text and writing an essay at home. I am happy to read with students and assist with reading comprehension, as well as revise essays and assignments. This would include more than just grammar edits. Conferencing with an instructor develops core writing skills that will improve your student’s writing for future essays. I can work with any subject excluding mathematics, so long as the main instruction is around reading or writing (e.g. revising an essay for a history class).
Please note that our rate for in-person babysitting in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties is $22/hr for one child and $2/hr for each additional child. The appointment fee is $8.

Background: I began babysitting when I was 12 for a family across the street. I love being around children and babysitting has always been an active job for me. Through Girl Scouts I gained experience working and volunteering with younger children of a variety of ages. My experiences range from volunteering with a children's church choir, to caring for children with disabilities, to coaching a soccer team of children four and five years old. Since joining Seminole Sitters, I have provided overnight newborn care for a few families. I have also passed the Florida state teacher certification exams for grades 6-12. Additionally, I do have light experience in math tutoring for lower levels.
I have experience caring for children with ADD/ADHD, autism, and motor disabilities. I have been trained in Seizure Recognition and First Aid by Epilepsy Florida.
She’s cared for children as young as: 6 weeks old, born prematurely!
Future plans: I will receive my Master’s degree in English Education this May 2020. I'd like to join Peace Corps to volunteer my time teaching.
When she's not babysitting: I really enjoy volunteering, but I also love hiking, the beach, reading, running (half marathons mainly), and being outside.
