Background: I am a student at Florida State University majoring in communication sciences and disorders. I have always had a huge love for working with and being around kids. For most of my life, I did tons of volunteer work at a dance studio assisting in dance classes with kids from 4 years old to 13 years old. In high school, I was able to be a summer camp teacher at the same dance studio where I would teach the kids basic dance skills and choreographies that I would come up with. Dance is a huge part of my life and I absolutely loved sharing that with the little ones. I also loved getting to know each of the kids’ personalities and being able to interact with them and develop relationships with them. Being around kids solidified for me that I want to work with them and help them as a career goal, which is why I hope to become a speech language pathologist for children. Being with kids is something that is so special and brings me such a unique sense of joy. I look forward to meeting so many wonderful kids and families!

She’s cared for children as young as: 3 years old (not including infants/toddlers within my family, while others were present)

Future plans: I hope to graduate from Florida State with a Bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders and then pursue Master’s in speech language pathology. My goal is to one day specialize in children born with cleft lips and be able to help them. I believe the ability to talk and express yourself is so incredibly important and it will be such an honor to be able to give that to someone.

When she's not babysitting: I love to read, go to the beach, and craft.

Defining quote: “The great gift of human beings is that we have the power of empathy. We can all sense a mysterious connection to each other,” - Meryl Streep

Additionally, she is very effective at explaining and teaching concepts in a way that is both clear and enjoyable for young learners.
She has a natural ability to connect with kids in a kind, patient, and professional manner. She creates a warm and engaging environment where children feel comfortable and supported. Her experience assisting with dance classes for children as young as 3 years old has equipped her with strong skills in communication, organization, and keeping kids entertained while also teaching them effectively.
