Ms. Charlotte

Birthday: March 25th

Hometown: Long Valley, NJ

Favorite Crayola color: Cotton Candy

Background: I am a student majoring in nursing at Florida State University, with a minor in child development. I started babysitting in 2017 with two of my best friends. We created a company, and even made our own business cards! We worked for local families and worked together to create fun activities for the kids. Over the years I have cared for children aged 6 months to 12 years old. During high school I coached children ages 8 - 10 in track and cross country. I have a gluten allergy, so I understand the severity of a child with an allergy and feel confident in my abilities to provide them with the proper care they need.

She’s cared for children as young as: 6 months old

Future plans: I hope to graduate from FSU with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I would love to work at the hospital in Celebration, FL for the first few years to find my specialty. I dream of working in women's health and providing women with a safe environment for their health needs. During that time I also hope to have settled down and start a family of my own.

When she's not babysitting: You can always find me outside when the weather is nice. I love going on hikes and soaking up the sunshine in any capacity. I am very passionate about health and fitness. I love cooking, baking, and moving my body in the gym. But I also love to balance that out by cozying up in bed with a good book. Historical fiction, romance, and fantasy are my favorite genres!

Defining quote: "For life is short but sweet for certain." - Dave Matthews Band

Charlotte babysat our four kids from infant up to 8 yrs old - current ages 8, 6, 3, and 8 months. Charlotte is the best babysitter we could ever ask for! She is caring, responsible, and always prompt. When babysitting, Charlotte always actively plays and interacts with the kids and doesn’t just stick them in front of the TV. She initiates imaginary play, arts and crafts, and outside time. She treats them with such love and has created such a strong bond with them. She always communicates with me if needed while I’m gone. We have also used Charlotte to drive our kids back and forth to activities - she has a flawless driving record and is a cautious, safe driver. Charlotte is very trustworthy and we feel comfortable leaving our children with her for extended periods of time knowing they are safe and cared for!

My kids were around ages 7 and 9 when Charlotte first watched them, and she’s watched them for several hours in recent summers for the last 2-3 years. Charlotte is always so pleasant and has fun ideas of things to do with children. She keeps them busy, whether crafting, making bracelets, spending time outdoors (walks, activities, trampoline, swimming). She is responsible and is a wonderful role model. She’s helpful and checks in with their needs. She will prepare meals or snacks without any prompting. She’s nurturing and warm. My girls never want her to leave!
