Ms. Bri

Birthday: August 9th

Hometown: Palm Harbor, FL

Other languages: Intermediate ASL (American Sign Language)

Favorite Crayola color: Tickle Me Pink

Background: I am studying English at Florida State University. I’ve babysat for children from ages 8-months-old to special needs young adults at 18! I love doing anything outdoors and crafty. I hope to partner with each family I work with to create a fun and safe environment where their child(ren) feel valued and respected. I understand that there is always a need for babysitters and nannies in busy, hardworking families. I also know that parents strive to find a babysitter that is the best fit for their child, as I will do for my own one day. I'd love to build a relationship with your family and come back to help your child learn and grow for as long as you need!

Not only have I volunteered at a nursery working with children from ages 8 months to 2 years, but I have vast experience privately babysitting for children ages 6-16 as well as children with mental and physical disabilities. I’ve cared for a child with celiac disease. I have received training on how to support children and teens with ASD from the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).

On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 3 weeks old

Future plans: I want to be an author!

When she's not babysitting: I love swimming and horseback riding.

Defining quote: "She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet." – Proverbs 31:20-21

She is by far the most talented young woman I have ever had watch my three year old son. Bri is creative, thoughtful, patient, funny, detail oriented…I could really keep going on and on. She has watched [my son] a few times and each time she has excellent communication, punctual, attentive and leaves everything so clean and organized. [He] really LOVES his time with her which I think is the ultimate review and compliment 😊.
Bri knows we love having her, but I wanted to let you know that she deserves to be recognized and honored for how hard she works! (This is long overdue)

Bri has spent countless hours babysitting for our family. Our daughter, who has Aspergers Syndrome, has always loved Bri and looks up to her like an older sister. Bri has also helped babysit my son, who is physically disabled, and my grandchildren.
We have built such a strong relationship with Bri. She has grown into a beautiful woman, inside and out. She has an extremely kind and patient approach when working with children, and she has always made my daughter feel talented, intelligent, and worthy. She has fostered a lifelong friendship with her. More than that, she is upbeat, reliable, and flexible. I don’t know what I would do without her. I highly recommend her.

Bri is very good at fostering a fun environment where my girls felt valued and cared for. She has always been punctual and professional, but she also loves to play with the kids and be silly. She is great at getting any kid out of their shell.
